MBPFW 2015 - Day 2 - Catwalk
08/04/2015
This was my first real catwalk photo-shooting and also..a real trial by fire. I was cooperating with my more skilled colleague, so I was supposed to shoot the details of models from the side of runway. The pressure was significant, because the most renowned Czech designers were introducing their new collections..
Jakub Polanka is one of the best known Czech designers. Beside all, he is also the best designer according to the Elle Style Awards and one of the most promising talents of the young generation according to Vogue Italia. The new collection prepared for MBPFW F/W 2015 wass called Epistolar, and it was inpsired by a idea of a relationship of two people who have never met and never will.
Ivana Mentlová found her own fashion label IAM in 2007. She describes it as “unconventional, creative and luxurious fashion emphasising the cut and material quality. Its key motif is femininity.” The fall/winter 2015 collection is inspired by the 1980s legacy – the era of disco and punk.
Denisa Nova is a fashion designer whose work under the brand name DNB, has been on the market since 1999. A / W 2015 is a collection consisting of restored and recycled sheared Persian lamb from the years 1920 - 1970, sought and discovered at a flea market in Brussels on January 31, 2015. The collection includes jewelry and relief wedge shoes by 3D printing sculptor Helena Lukášová.
Klára Nademlýnská is one of the most popular Czech fashion designers. Her collections are characterised by their purity of style, select materials and luxurious craftsmanship. For the new fall/winter 2015 collection have been chosen materials evoking softness, warmth and protection, being feminine and light at the same time.
